Summer Eye Experience at the Chicago College of Optometry
(SEE at CCO)

Three-day program that will expose students to the Doctor of Optometry degree. Students will attend workshops designed for those interested in pursuing a career in optometry, as well as those who are still unsure and would like to see if optometry is for them.

Dates

  • Monday, June 24 through Wednesday, June 26 (2024) 

​

Application must be submitted by March 15, 2024.

JAMP (Joint Admission Medical Program)

Created by the Texas Legislature to support and encourage highly-qualified, economically-disadvantaged Texas resident students pursuing a medical education.

JAMP provides its students:

  • Placement into JAMP Summer Internship experiences

  • Hands-on experience through clinical enrichment opportunities

  • Comprehensive, multi-phase MCAT preparation program

  • Guaranteed admission to a participating Texas medical school if all criteria are met

The deadline to submit your application is: Tuesday, October 31, 2023 by 5:00 p.m.

Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP)

Summer Program which allows students to gain experience on how to become a better applicant for grad school through informational sessions. Students will also have the opportunity to be a part of clinical rotations and gain real-world experience. 

 

Specific dates vary based on which school of choice

  • June- July 2024

Dallas Zoo College Internship Program

The Dallas Zoo College Internship Program provides a learning opportunity for currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students at an accredited college/university in the United States. Interns become actively involved in the Zoo’s animal care departments, conservation/research efforts, operations, and/or administrative positions.

Interns work 20-40 hours per week for a maximum of 12 weeks. Each placement is designed to help the intern gain experience related to their education.

Summer Semester: May- August (2024) 

Application must be submitted by April 1st, 2024.
